Your physical body has certain psychic power points known as chakras and there are seven chakras in all, running down the body in a straight line.  The reason for the existence of chakras is that they are the regulators of psychic energy.  You have a psychic spinal cord inside your physical one, and this psychic cord is the highway between the lower spine and the brain.

The first chakra is at the base of the spine, a little below the tail bone.  The second is at the tip of the pubic bone, the third is at the umbilicus, the fourth is at the sternum or breastbone, the fifth is in the hollow of the throat, the sixth is a little above eyebrow level and the seventh sits on the top of the head.

These are the true positions of the chakras and any other positioning is inaccurate.  The most powerful chakra is the first one.  This first chakra is known as the kundalini, and its symbol is a coiled serpent.  When one reaches a certain level of spiritual understanding, the kundalini becomes charged with psychic energy, and just like a serpent coiling itself up a tree trunk, the kundalini moves up the spine, activating each chakra as it goes.  When the energy reaches the seventh chakra on the top of the head, there is a spiritual break through and a person reaches ‘the all knowing state’ or adeptship.  It doesn’t happen very often.  There aren’t very many adepts out there.
